The University of Kentucky on Your Smartphone

UK Mobile is a free mobile application that individuals can download onto a mobile device.

The application is available for download free from the Apple® App StoreSM,for Blackberry in Blackberry App World and for Android in the Android Marketplace.

*depending on the make/model of individual smartphone devices, not all application features are available within the UKMobile app.

Application Features:

  • myUK: myUK is a mobile web application that gives you access to several useful Web apps; login using your link blue ID and password.

  • Directory: Search for members of the University Community through the Directory.

  • Maps: View UK campus maps with labeled buildings and zoom and pan across the map using the device’s touch interface.

  • Library: Search the library catalog for
    book and document availability by title, author, or keywords.

  • Safety: Numbers for UKPD or to find a safe ride home.

  • News: Read top news stories from UKNow by browsing categories such as campus news and student life or browse by most recent articles.

  • Athletics: Follow UK sports with news,
    schedules, and updated scores from UKAthletics.com.

  • Images: Search and view interesting UK
    photographs from 1885-present.

  • Videos: View the most popular content
    from UK’s YouTube Channel.

  • iTunes U: Research, watch and learn in the palm of your hand.

  • Learn: Check your grades, post to discussion forums, and browse content across all your courses. Mobile Learn provides instant access to the Blackboard Learning Management System.

  • Alumni: View member benefits, member discounts, calendar of events and find UK Alumni clubs.

     

Within the myUK feature:

  • Catalog: Search the UK Course Catalog.
  • Registration: Register for courses from your mobile device.
  • My Classes: View your classes and grades.
  • K Week (coming Fall 2012): Find out what's happening around campus during K Week!
