Improvement Initiatives are typically larger in scope than an Improvement Project. Initiatives are often created at the College or University level and serve as an umbrella entity for all the units and departments that fall under the area that created the Initiative.
Improvement Projects allow for the recording and collection of data about one component of the Initiative. There may be one Initiative that is related to a specific college’s accreditation process, but there may be many projects aligned to that initiative that help to document evidence for that process.
